Sonoma County native, Julien grew up in and around the wine business. Before joining MGPR, he managed sales for Palmeri, a boutique winery in the Alexander Valley. Simultaneously, he worked at the acclaimed Cyrus Restaurant in Healdsburg. A longtime Healdsburg resident and active member of his community, Julien is on the board of directors for Access Healdsburg, public access community television. In addition to wine business experience, he brings PR and marketing skills from his work with a Seattle-based PR firm specializing in the promotion of restaurants and specialty food purveyors.
After graduating with honors from Connecticut College in 2003, Julien moved to San Diego and dedicated himself to environmental causes. His work included managing salvaged building materials with The Re-Use People of California and the development of a strategic marketing plan for the environmental educational organization I Love A Clean San Diego. He has participated in the MGPR summer internship program since 1996. An entrepreneur at heart, Julien makes it his business to keep abreast of the latest trends in emerging media and communications.
