GPR joined forces with the Russian River Valley Winegrowers (RRVW) as marketing and PR consultant at a critical juncture between the past and future of this storied appellation. The board of directors was searching for a way to better establish and promote the key varietals that were best suited to this cool-climate region.
The dilemma we faced was that of over-abundance, as the Russian River Valley was widely known as an area in which a variety of grapes could be grown successfully. MGPR understood, however, that in order for this region to be truly noted as a world-class AVA, the RRVW as an organization needed to narrow its focus on what the Russian River Valley did best, and why. It didn't take much to realize that this region's abundance of cool, foggy days offers ideal growing conditions for both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
